Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is putting Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) on blast after the far-right Republican posted a graphic anime-style video of him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and attacking President Joe Biden on social media earlier this week.
I can’t wait to see the videos about Gosar, if they do nothing about this.
I think Thanksgiving is going to be extra fun at the old Cheney compound this year.
She’s absolutely right, and she voted against the infrastructure bill so she’s not on Team Biden…though, any Republican who says or does the slightest thing that could be construed to supporting Biden is a pariah for Republicans. It’s obscene that the Republicans in the House refused to say anything about the video, at the same time wanting to punish Republicans who voted for the infrastructure bill that helps their constituents…and it’s even worse that McCarthy and Republican leadership are encouraging this behavior.
As I’ve said before, the threat is coming from inside the House…at some point that’s going to lead to violence if nothing is done about it.

I have to believe Cheney believes the Trump fever is going to break in time for her to make a run at the Prez nom in 2024. Cobble together moderate conservatives, along with everyone that isn’t batshit crazy on the left, right and center regardless of their party affiliation.

Her big problem will be all non-Republicans that might support her would be of no help in states where rules require you to be a registered Republican to vote in the primary. I suppose no matter how much dissatisfaction the general public might have with GOP idiocy and insanity the party would enjoy sufficient success in quashing her aspirations.
I’d like to believe that but enough of the Trump base hate her not solely for being anti Trump and voting for impeachment but for her role in being a cheerleader for the Iraq war. In many rural areas that went heavily for Trump a key factor was “My kid and neighbor did three tours in Iraq and if Trump kind of opposed it and called out Jeb and his family then by god I’m with him”.
Gosar should be expelled from the House.
The GOP in the House 2022 elections should be crushed.

WA state has a top two primary system. So, if I wanted to vote for Liz, I could but then could vote straight D down ticket. Pretty sure our primaries are advisory for Presidential races not sure if caucuses have been totally fazed out.
Yes. In fact Liz–for whom I hold zero brief–has publicly stated that she was wrong, and that she had apologized to her sister. Doesn’t mean anything except that Liz is better at reading shifting social realities than some others.
