Or… Genocide.
They have nothing to do with it. How about the American Taliban? They are to this day terrorizing public health officials and sabotaging all control efforts.

The oath of office is to faithfully execute the office of President and to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. Even if it were a crime to violate that oath (and to be clear, it is not), it doesn’t say anything about protecting the people. Nor does the Constitution, nor does any federal or state criminal law. We could certainly try to criminalize indifference to a pandemic, but right now our only recourse is impeachment and elections.

“Let 'em die. Who gives a shit” is not great optics.
It seems to work pretty well for at least 40% of the population.
Covid notes from all over: They just closed the borough hall in my small town to the public until further notice. And last night my sister went to the nearest (not that near) IKEA well after dinner to avoid the weekend crowds. I time any visit to a public building the same way. It’s bad and it’s getting worse. Thanks, Donald, and drop dead there’s a good fellow.
Appoint 1 special prosecutor for each gov’t department and then 1 just for Trump. Redfield is one of the most discredited persons in this Administration. He should be an easy target for a prosecutor.
“Retired scientist”
It’s Trump’s “peers” who do the “reviewing”.
That might be a problem.
I’m going to guess Redfield plans to leave, either by choice or boot up the ass.
On what charges? Be specific.
Or, just admit that you’re spouting off again on legal issues without any actual legal basis for it.
“Life goes on”
2020 might contend that.
Except that Clinton’s emails weren’t lost or deleted, not even the 30,000 or whatever allegedly missing ones that weren’t missing.
In this case, Redfield intentionally deleted messages. Execution might be a little too far, but 6 months with two MS-13 gang members as cellies would probably make the next guy think twice about doing it.
The efficacy and safety data are coming all the time. Also a plus for vaccine developers: coronaviruses also seem to mutate more slowly than some other viruses such as HIV.
But sequencing data suggest that coronaviruses change more slowly than most other RNA viruses, probably because of a ‘proofreading’ enzyme that corrects potentially fatal copying mistakes. A typical SARS-CoV-2 virus accumulates only two single-letter mutations per month in its genome — a rate of change about half that of influenza and one-quarter that of HIV, says Emma Hodcroft, a molecular epidemiologist at the University of Basel, Switzerland.
“A heaven that does not exist”
I’ll be surprised if there’s no afterlife.
No you wouldn’t.
Talking about it doesn’t mean not investigating. DOJ can look and see what evidence there is for charges. Instead of making baseless claims, an R specialty.
Come on @Talking_Points_Memo, Jim Clyburn is from South Carolina NOT Georgia.
Not like he’s an insignficant back-bencher who didn’t almost single-handidly save Biden’s primary campaign in South Carolina or anything.
Besides not talking about it, makes the case stronger, if brought to court.
