I am disappointed that none of the fine contributors here have found it in themselves to post a photo of his future ex. I would, but I enjoy it more when she pops up semi-random.
Lead foot indeed. But that expression must refer to some other part of Cawthorn’s anatomy seeing he’s paralyzed waist down from an auto accident when he was a passenger in a friend’s car. As @timtoday said, one would think Cawthorn would be extra cautious while driving but apparently the life lesson has been lost.
You talking about **Jason Ravnsborg? South Dakota AG?
Killed a man, drove off, called 911 to say he’d hit a deer (why would you call 911 for that?), walked around with sheriff friend looking for “deer”, body not discovered till the next day when the AG’s blood alcohol level would presumably be down to normal… man’s GLASSES found inside his car (meaning, presumably, the poor man’s head went through the windshield)…

October, 2021 … Cawthorn received a speeding citation for going 89 mph in a 65-mph zone in Buncombe County.
January, 2022… a trooper stopped Cawthorn for driving at 87 mph in a 70-mph zone in Polk
Cawthorn was previously charged with driving while his license was revoked before he entered office in 2017. The charge was later dismissed.
So with this history … and the hour & the "crossing of the center line "
Why was there no mention of a breathalyzer exam having been conducted - would seem more than be appropriate given the circumstances … unless it is "don’t look for what you don’t want to find.
