For someone who pretends he is ex-military, he sure doesn’t follow directions very well. Someone who drives 87 - 90 mph seems pretty callous to the prospect of killing or seriously handicapping someone. I am old enough to remember when we tried not to send reckless people to the US House. And he was in trouble for this previously? People get fired for crap like this.
Put a boot on his chair.

He’s white, so of course they can’t speak to the nature of the suspension. And, as he crossed the center line - his skin color helped keep him from being in handcuffs. No way in hell would a man of color be treated like this.
And, MC is a colossal Russian asset… and all around jerk. I hope he has some punishment, but not wasting hope on that.
Is he trying to finish the job?
His previous jam, driving while revoked was dropped. Think about that. No way a mistake was made. Not on that charge. So why?
So far he is doing his typical poor job.
I think he should be given 500 community service hours as probation, ordered to work as Trump’s private chauffer, and receive immunity for any future traffic violations.
Let’s just let the law of averages play out for someone with such an extreme lead foot.
Ha, ha, ha! Reminds me of the classic line in “Star Trek II”: “You’ve managed to kill just about everyone else but like a poor marksman, you keep. Missing. The. Target.”
Clearly there was some place he had to be. He’s a special boy.
He is just following his usual form of believing that he is exempt from the laws that govern the rest of us.
This twerp does not belong anywhere near any seat of power. Fortunately he is up against Chuck Edwards in the primary. Edwards is as odious as they come, but not a juvenile delinquent and is solidly conservative enough to please the rightwing voters in NC11. Mad Caw will have a tough time beating him.

I wonder if his attorney Bopp, who got him a favorable ruling in the “prove you’re not an insurrectionist” ballot disqualification last week, will take on this one.
Maybe? I was thinking a couple Spongebob swimmies and being dropped off somewhere in the Atlantic and told to pick a direction.
You’d think a guy whose life was upended in an automobile accident would be exceedingly cautious in all regards about moving vehicles.
But then, that presupposes he has a well-functioning brain and a normal share of empathy . . .
Maybe we’ll get lucky and he will receive a sentence of community service, like his resignation.
I hope this isn’t too much of a shock but white people get in legal trouble in this country and are often convicted and sentenced to longer in jail than they’d have wished. I covered a murder trial once and they convicted the guy. White guy. Crazy, huh?
Any information on whether Maddy was under the influence?
I would be inclined to cut him some slack if any of his physical, learning and cognitive disabilities prevented him from operating the cruise control on his vehicle?
Or if he was being distracted by some newly arrived mail order Russian bride handpicked by a low level minion at Russian intelligence.
Cueing up Tucker’s attack on libs for trying to cancel the poor guy. I mean, he’s white and male, a member of the club, so he can literally do no wrong. It’s not like he hurt anyone let alone Tucker.
But, crossing the line is what gets Cawthorne up in the morning.
This is looking like the NC version of Matt Gaetz (R-FL) syndrome.
Cawthorn drove with a revoked license in 2017; charge dismissed. He has 2 outstanding high-speed tickets, plus the new revoked license charge- all coming to court in Apr/May.
Why was his license revoked in the first place? He must have a very sordid driving history that is not publicized. Get him off the damn road! Lock him up! (before he kills someone)
