Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) went down in the face of a primary challenge on Tuesday night, buckling under an onslaught of opponents and his own party’s concerted effort to purge the troublesome lawmaker from its ranks.
Relieved to be face-fucking his cousin as a private citizen.
Maybe he can spend the next few months he’s got left on building up his constituent services part of his job now . . .

Why did he concede? He is a MAGA Republican, he is supposed to declare election fraud and organize his efforts to capture the election with threats of violence.

…Edwards led with 33.5 percent of the vote to Cawthorn’s 31.7 percent.
(I ask because, what I’m used to is if no one gets a majority in a primary election w/ more than 2 candidates, the top two vote-getters going to a primary run-off, the winner of which then goes to the general election.

Who are the 31.7% of primary voters who wanted Cawthorn back in the House? I’d like to know so I can stay as far away from them as possible.

It remains to be seen how Cawthorn will choose to spend his lame-duck months in the House.
I don’t see why anything should change. It’s not as if he spent much time there, and he sure wasn’t doing constituent services (at least, not the kind anyone wanted).
