A shitty Collin County MAGA hack of a judge tossed out the entire case because the Commission fucked up its exhibit numbering. On appeal to the very good and entirely (D) Dallas Court of Appeals. But the felony conviction will provide an independent – and essentially bulletproof – basis for making her license go “Yoik!”
I am not sure how her case got transferred from Dallas County to Collin County, but my suspicion is that Monica Purdy got cold feet. I look forward to her next primary.

As I understand it she’s pleading to misdemeanors, and, explicitly asking the court to find that these crimes do not represent “moral turpitude.”
I suspect that is all with an eye to avoiding disbarment. (I’m perfectly willing to be wrong.)

Powell admitted that she conspired to tamper with voting machines in Coffee County, Georgia. That was part of a harebrained attempt to prove, once and for all, that Trump’s defeat could be pinned on voting machines produced by Dominion Voting Systems.
Keep in mind that TFG won Coffee County by 30 points in 2020. Even if one believes that voting machines were tampered with, this was not the jurisdiction where it happened.

I’m not. Reduction-to-misdemeanors means her testimony against others is that valuable. Think about it: are you really saying “Fani Willis fucked up?” Because that’s not what 90% of the law/politics commentators are saying.
