That’s the way the conspiracy crumbles.

ETA: Would love to be a fly on the wall in Chesebro’s lawyer’s office this morning.

So now, how will this impact the others in this case? Does her plea effectively shut her up?

It is about to get so much worse/better/awesome.

And I guess this goes to show - Powell wasn’t crazy after all, just a plain old liar.

any lawyers in the house want to guess as to what kind of time she does as a result of this

I am sure that she will plead guilty to some minor thing that doesn’t involve jail time.

Not that I have any sympathy for Sidney, but to be fair, I’m sure the justice system has coerced more than one mentally ill person into a plea deal…they normally just aren’t as priviledged as she is (and I’m not saying she was treated unfairly…on the contrary she’s probably being treated better than most criminals).

Not a lawyer, but I did read the text of the article:
“The penalty includes six years probation, a recorded proffer interview with prosecutors, a commitment to testify about her actions in future trials, and a $6,000 fine.”

So no jail, but she has to testify at future trials and help convict her co-conspirators.

Looks like the good news for Chesebro is he is getting his wish to not be in the same trial as Powell… but the bad news is she might be testifying against him…
