To the issue of their possibly (ha) not having the authority to do many of the things they’re doing – Apparently, per Chauncey DeVega, he’s once again claiming direct authority from God for his program.

Even as an atheist, aii this offends me deeply. So I’m hoping that more people who aren’t atheists see this information and have a chance to become offended. However, among the many aspects of the Trump phenomenon that don’t seem to get much mainstream media coverage, this is a big one, as far as I’ve seen – an issue two times untouchable: once because of the Trumps/faux-conservatives’ untouchability and again because of the untouchability of talk about conservative Christianity. Much much much more’s the pity.

The sick fuck WILL NOT be able to delay this case. Judges in the Eastern District DO NOT PLAY. There’s a reason it’s called the “Rocket Docket”. A criminal trial date is carved into granite. Their upcoming requests for extensions will be denied, so they shouldn’t waste their time writing motions for them, because the defense will not agree to them. There will also be no plea negotiations.
