I see your hopefulness. But if Israel goes through with even this milquetoast agreement, Bee-Bee’s government will fall. So I remain pessimistic.
And I hope the Nobel Committee requires more than a shaky suggestion of an agreement, that has as yet zero follow through. Bee-Bee wants to reduce all of Gaza to rubble and kill all the Palestinians (he won’t let 'em out), regardless of whether his latest American stooge get his “Noble” prize.

I’ve been reading about how the Peace Prize is normally given only for someone facilitating a lasting peace and end to a conflict, not temporary ceasefires. And this deal is certainly only a temporary one, given how far apart Israel and Hamas are on disarmament and Gaza governance, no matter how Trump tries to paint it.

… the decisionmakers at the Norwegian Nobel Committee have signaled that this pressure has been futile.
Nobel’s committee head, Jorgen Watne Friedans Watne Frydnes told Norwegian tabloid VG that the decision on this year’s award was made Monday. He also indicated in comments to public broadcaster NRK that the possible peace deal in the Middle East would only count toward next year’s award. Norway’s Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide has reiterated that the government does not interfere in Nobel decisions.
