This seems to be related to “Now’s not the time” in relation to mass shootings.
Some of them say it has to be done by new years and some of them are saying it’s too soon. But they all are saying they can’t vote for it now, so fuck them.
Let the investigations play out in the courts, let’s see how happy they are with that.

The days when both parties had an interest in preserving our form of government, beyond party interest, are long gone. Yet again, the republicans don’t fail to disappoint.
Time for DOJ to jump in with a full top level criminal investigation with their subpoena powers.

The 9/11 commission is the model for formatting and staffing this commission. However, if we used the response to 9/11 as a model for timing… recall that we had boots on the ground and ordinance on targets well ahead of the results of the 9/11 commission.
