Thank you all, you saved America temporarily, your work has just begun. Without you we would be totally lost.

Thank you. We don’t deserve you, but thank you.

I hear that more white women voted for the orange serial rapist in 2020 than did in 2016.

True or not, I’d add a genuflection when thanking black women if my knees weren’t shot. Bless their courage, dedication, perseverance, and patriotism; the real deal.

Obviously Abrams should replace Perez.

We don’t know for sure – yet – but it does look that way at the moment.

Biden needs to create a new Election Integrity Department, with responsibility of protecting our elections from interference both foreign and domestic, investigating and prosecuting those who obstruct our elections, ensuring the fairness of voting, increasing access to voting, standardizing federal elections, etc. And Stacy Abrams needs to be the first Secretary of the EID.

It was 47% according to Time magazine in 2018. It wasn’t Russian disinformation. It was just another one of Trump’s many extemporaneous lies.

I am not sure it is possible to thank them to the extent that they deserve. They have take more crap than most and have perserved. They are American heroines.

This white woman voted for Biden/Harris, as did my sister and niece. I am so excited to have a WOMAN OF COLOR as our next Vice President.

Words are not enough, but they are what we have for the moment.

More power, opportunities and respect MUST be in the offing.

THANK YOU!

While she would certainly do an EXCELLENT job in herding Democratic cats in the DNC…

I want Stacy to get the position she wants. She deserves the highest position she wants, whether it’s appointed or elected.

I have so much admiration for this woman!!!

Brown also insisted upon joy — moments of song and dance — that reminded Black Americans that the power of the vote can also be a balm, especially in troubled times.

Joy was the first fatality of Trumpism.

My 91 year old white mom voted for Biden/Harris, as did all 5 of her daughters. My extended family is very diverse ethnically, politically and religiously. I can’t speak for everyone, but I know most of us voted for decency

I would definitely add my humble thanks, as well. I think Stacey Abrams deserves a shit-ton of credit, she is truly a special person. Perhaps an icon of our time, but we will just have to wait and see how history treats her. But we should treat her very well right now in this minute.

I think we need to point out that a very sweet reward for these amazing ladies is that they got to live to see the day that a black woman became vice president of the United States (and a heartbeat away from POTUS). And it couldn’t happen to a more deserving group. Way to go, ladies.:clap::clap:

ETA: I had to come back and amend my statement because I used the word ‘fine’ and that stuck in my craw. It bothered me because it was so close to word a certain somebody said about “fine people on both sides” in Charlottesville. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
That is all…

African-Americans generally seem to have the clearest political read of the US of any demographic. Sadly, I think it largely evolved for self-preservation. But may be this is the way of any society, look to the most vulnerable as a guide as to how society is doing, the trite analogy being the canary in the coal mine.

So, this white man follows what black leaders have to say closely. Stacey Abrams is definitely a force, and I am thankful she is among the many black women that are helping guide us.
