Bipartisan Senators Were Confused Over Ukraine Aid Delay

Before a whistleblower’s complaint exposed President Donald Trump’s pressure campaign against the Ukrainian president, senators on both sides of the aisle were scratching their heads for months wondering why the congressionally-approved funds for Ukraine weren’t being provided.

None of this matters, 'cause the whistleblower had second hand information, so nothing to see here…

Eh, why do I not believe Moscow’s Bitch and the others on the GOP side?

So I wonder if #ditchMoscowMitch feels like he’s still a Trump insider after all of this?

“Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) told reporters last Tuesday that he had “no idea what precipitated the delay” and that he “was was not given an explanation” from the Trump administration.”

We’re just talking $391,000,000 in State Department and defense aid. Nothing to see here.

It’s almost like he doesn’t care about you either, Mitch.

Trump is f_cking with funds allocated by Congress for Ukrainian security purposes for his own partisan, personal, political interests and the Repubs are “concerned?” Change the name from Republican to the Enabler Party.

I think you only get your “True Insider” badge once you’ve seen Donald from underneath the bus.

This is important, There is a bipartisan concensus that the aid was in fact delayed. The Dotard can’t spin it otherwise…

The difference being that the GOP Senators WANTED to be left in the dark, since they never want to seem like they have ever had any knowledge of Trump’s obvious wrongdoing.

Why would any Republican be surprised by this. Trump declared a national emergency at the southern border and reallocated money from the Defense budget to build the border wall. The House of Representatives holds the power of the purse but Trump did it anyway. The money was supposed to improve schools on bases a various other projects.

This really ought to be a breaking point. Moscow Mitch and his lackey’s have spent their entire lives saying Russia was a threat. Russia is a threat. It invaded Georgia, then seized the Crimea, then invaded Ukraine. Moscow Mitch and Co correctly attacked Obama for being feckless and failing to take adequate actions re Putin.

So now we have $400M in military aid, which Trump held up. But rather than getting to the bottom of what Putin’s bitch was doing, they sat on their hands. Now it turns out that Trump was holding up the aid, against the advise of DOD, DOS, NSC, all on his own, in a shake down effort of the Ukrainians, it appears in conjunction with Gulliani, and perhaps Pompeo and Barr, and perhaps even Pence. Perhaps he was egged on by Putin to do this (gotta see those call notes), perhaps it was all his own cray cray conspiratorial mind. Either way, it undermined US national security and helped Putin.

Either way, they are either Pro-USA/ anti-Putin or they are like Trump servants of Moscow.

You know, I think Mitch really does have an idea “what precipitated the delay.”

No consensus needed. It is public well-documented knowlege that the aid was suspended prior to the shakedown phone call. This is just gop senators covering their asses.

Trump offered up that he held up the military aid to Ukraine to determine if they had ‘addressed corruption’ satisfactorily. I say, prove it.

Oh, what fun to be a dictator, you answer to no one and do things on your own time or not. He was probably trying to figure out a way to get the money into his bank account.

When inside the mouth of a political tsunami, do not tweet. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $400 million dollars.
