Bipartisan Senators Were Confused Over Ukraine Aid Delay

“We didn’t know. If we had known we would have… never mind.”

Why haven’t we heard Vladimir Putin’s opinion about giving the Ukrainian’s 400 million for military aid, including anti-tank missiles?

Why isn’t him squeezing Trump to withhold the money? Is he counting on Ukrainian politicos stealing all the money and not a single bullet reaching the front? Or is he counting that the Ukrainians will be forced to buy the weapons from US companies at list price, in which case 400 million doesn’t get you very far.

I think we should be looking around to see if congress appropriated money has ever been delayed elsewhere. They also delayed imposing sanctions against Russians…seems like a common tactic.

They all knew the delay was ordered by Putin.

“Everything I had heard was that this was a decision made by the President,” he said. “It was his decision and it was his decision alone.”

And Trump’s “reason” for the delay changes frequently, depending on what he thinks he needs to say to escape the moment and avoid immediate consequences.

Well, he did test their corruption by asking for a bribe.

But McConnell is an honourable man.

True 'nuf, however, they aren’t thinking up excuses for it or talking about ‘the Prez’dent’s discretion.’
Possibly, they’ve come to the time where they try and wash their hands of him.
I can only wish they find themselves like Lady MacBeth’s, “Out, damn’d spot! out, I say!”

#MoscowMitch is paving his own exit ramp. We’ll likely never know what he knew entirely, but we’d all be fools if we assumed he didn’t know the National Russia Association was pumping rubles into Republican candidacies across the nation or the reasons Trump was going all mafia don on Ukraine.

His comments now are not intended to be factual statements.

I’m confused. CONGRESS appropriates the money and the President can ‘release it’ or not? REALLY?

Ah, it’s gratifying to see just plain old GOP financial crimes. Takes me back to the old days.

Huhhh…so now RepubliCONS are playing Pontius Pilate by washing their hands on their Dear Criminal-In-Chief Leader’s illegal acts!

Is it because the Criminal-In-Chief threatened civil war is the impeachment is successful? Or is it because they want to save themselves?

It’s NOT too late for the RepubliCONS to become Republicans again BUT I do NOT know if I will ever trust any of the Republican legislators again since they acted so very much as the DEAD BEAT legislators and so very PARTISAN, aided/abetted the most loathsome/repugnant modern US president, abandoned all their professed values in a drop of the hat, lie/cheated/steal to stay in power…on and on with Republican massive corruption!

A Federal Elections Commission filing in April indicated no individual donors gave to Collins in the first quarter of 2019.

Delish.

Well, doing dirty deals involving missiles does take me back to the old days. All that’s missing is 52 hostages.

It will be harder for Moscow Mitch to send NRA-laundered rubles her way, so it may be time for her to get “concerned.”

Oh, crap, wrong Collins.
