The Big Ten won’t be playing football this fall because of concerns about COVID-19.
The move comes six day after the conference that includes historic programs such as Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska and Penn State had released a revised conference-only schedule that it hoped would help it navigate a fall season with potential COVID-19 disruptions.
Good. It’s the only sensible thing to do, with the news that a half dozen Big Ten athletes have already been diagnosed with COVID-related heart issues.
Now let’s all laugh as Trump’s head and his Depends explode simultaneously.
I enjoy watching football. But given the circumstances, this is the only smart thing to do.
Is it wrong though, to at least smile about the new light being reflected on the cash cow effect football and its “student” athletes have on certain big Universities?
