With fewer than 100 hours to go before Election Day, both presidential candidates are crisscrossing the Midwest on Friday, with campaign stops in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Biden will also stop in Iowa and Trump will visit Michigan.
I think we are trying. Even with an extra week of early voting, the two polling sites I go by frequently have people waiting in line for their turn. Not the crowds early on, but a steady stream of people coming and going. That cheers me up as it means we havenât depleted the well with that extra week in front and people are still coming out.
Meanwhile, Rudy is still heading towards the bottom. Jeez.

There is going to have to be the biggest GOTV Operation for the Dems on Election Day that this country has ever had.
I say this in light of the valiant and courageous people who Early Voted.
Massive lines of Democracts (gauged as such by exit polling after vote) on Election Day will put the final nail in Trumpâs coffin. It is doable (we have the numbers) and it is logistically possible. It would counteract the Court-based criminality the GOP has planned, and it would actually spur even more people to come out. Humans (especially Democrats) respond to waves of pent-up emotion.
Mail slowdown in PA may be hurting republicans more than Democrats.
In PA and as of yesterday, 73.4% of Democratâs requested mail ballots had already been returned, while only 59.3 for republicans. Of those returned, D ballots currently outnumber the Râs 3:1
The requested total represents about half of the total vote in 2016. So election day turn out will still be a huge deal here.
Good GodâŚTrump is threatening the PA Gov. Heâs âgonna rememberâ what the Governor did when the state comes asking for help. WTF? I thought we were the UNITED STATES and not some dictatorâs revenge filled fantasyâŚI know I knowâŚ
The problem is that Democrats have about 520,000 outstanding mail ballots while Republicans only have about 310,000. Some people on both sides must have decided to vote on the election day and some will simply not vote. But itâs almost certain that the number of ballots delayed by mail will be greater for Democrats than for Republicans.
All of this not the behavior of an evil regime that thinks it is in the bag. This is the behavior of people who just realized they are taking on far more water than they can bail.
Texas will be at about 9.5 million votes cast by the end of early voting at 7 pm tonight. Guesstimating another 1.5 million in person votes on election day, maybe another 100k mail votes between now and the 5 pm Wednesday deadline. That gets us to north of 11 million votes, 2 million+ more than 2016.
In 2016, the margins were 52.2 Trump, 43.2 Hillary, 4.5 Dumb Shits Burning Their Ballots.
Well shit. Hadnât looked it that way. Still think itâs good to see the overall return rate is higher already for the Dems. Iâm hopeful that it suggests an enthusiasm gap that will continue on the 3rd.
âIf the president loses Pennsylvania or North Carolina, Mark, or Florida, theyâll lose it because they stole it,â Patrick said of Democrats during an interview on local conservative radio host Mark Davisâ eponymous show.
And if Texas goes blue, I foresee Patrick showing up at the Texas Statehouse in SS cosplay gear to give an inspiring, Henry V-style battle speech.
