President-elect Joe Biden on Tuesday took aim at the Trump administration for “falling behind” on vaccine distribution as the country reels from more than 330,000 deaths from COVID-19 thus far.
This is good politics from Joe. The reality is that we’re not going to be able to get the vaccine rolled out to enough of the population until May/June b/c of Trump’s poor planning. Starting in late Jan with no help or competence from the prior administration really delays the projected timeline. Israel, for all of Bibi’s flaws, is rocking it on vaccine roll out. Of course, Bibi will make sure most Israelis are vaccinated before they vote in a couple of months. You can’t say that man doesn’t understand politics.
I wonder how many Republican House members had a little chat with their state’s governor over the holiday? I mean I keep hear Trumpers complain about bailing out states and cities like states and cities all have a budget item marked funds for the next global pandemic, DO NOT TOUCH!
Oh Joe, it isn’t as if we expected this to go smoothly, after all nothing else has. The GOP only know how to disrupt,it does not know how to govern, it really comes down to that.
Bibi has messed up a lot of things. They’re on their 3rd lockdown, but he knows he can clean all of his sins if he rolls that vaccine out like Sony rolling out the next playstation.
Based on that article, it may be that he’s angry at the “lack of parties, events, and fundraisers” which might just be a predictor of the lack of influence he’s sure to face in three weeks.
It was the “white marble and an abundance of dark wood” that sent him over the edge (that is, if there is an edge he hasn’t already gone over). Simply not Dictator Chic enough for his “taste.”
I realize this is off topic, but I saw this today and still can’t figure out why the WH needs to “proclaim December 29, 2020 as the 850th anniversary of the martyrdom of Saint Thomas Becket”. It’s the 850th anniversary, whether Trump proclaims it or not. I’m also pretty sure that he would have been more sympathetic with Henry II than Becket, regardless of the twaddle about religious freedom.
The United States, despite having the world’s highest number of documented infections, has a weak track record in publishing genomic sequences, the process that enables researchers to track changes in the virus. Most sequences have been published by academic or private research institutions. By contrast, the United Kingdom has a national health system with a robust surveillance system.
You try to be smart, then you take it to heart
'Cause it hurts when your ego is deflated
You don’t realize that it’s all compromise
And the problems are so overrated
Goodbye means nothing when it’s all for show
So why pretend you’ve somewhere else to go
Don’t sleep in the subway, darlin’, don’t stand in the…
