Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden stated that as President, he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how to fix the court system, which he said is “getting out of whack.”
Good for Biden. He shuts down all the breathless court packing questions and says virtually nothing. Very smart.
But he’s 100% right that wholesale reform is the way to go. The Supreme Court has been so politicized it totters on the brink of a total loss of credibility. Just another branch of the government people don’t believe in. It’s time to take a hard look and I hope this happens.
And a Truth and Reconciliation Commission co-chaired by Mitch McConnell and William Barr.
The Dems never disappoint. How many minds will he change by floating this idea? Will the QAnon suddenly become his supporter or William Bundy or their followers in the GOP?
This answer is exactly correct. The upper levels of the federal court system have lost popular legitimacy, and it would be absurd to say that any one individual, Biden or anybody else, has the obvious perfect flawless solution of I Alone Can Fix It.
Au contraire. That means Joe Biden is talking to responsible adult citizens who give a damn. Maybe that doesn’t include you, but it sure as hell includes tens of millions of our fellow citizens.
