I don’t think shame, or even the revelation of the truth of what they are doing with their voter suppression laws, matters to them. They have control of the laws, and the likely support of the SCOTUS in the defense of their laws, so their bed is made, and they like it. Their power, their control, and their future are secured.

For the love of God, enough about masks, masks, masks already lol! This is an article about a state’s frontal assault on democracy, which other red states are bound to emulate. I’m far more concerned about the possible advent of fascism in America than I am about young, healthy elite athletes not wearing masks!

Ok, so did you miss the part that Biden said about the MLB being leaders? If they aren’t leaders on these issues, then is Biden wrong about what leadership looks like? Can those leaders only lead in some of the issues?
And how is the advent of fascism not related to taking a legitimate and full-on stand against it?

The problem is, being named to the All-Stars is a resume enhancing (and subsequently a negotiation enhancing) activity. I can bet many of them would not boycott the game.
Biden was asked the question. What should his response have been? “Forgive them Father, they know not what they do?”

I may be wrong, but didn’t the governor of Texas lift all mask mandates in the state? Even if the Texas Rangers ball club wanted fans to wear masks in their stadium, they wouldn’t be allowed to require them to, would they?
On the other hand, the players themselves, in the dugout…
And Biden called them out on that.
Imagine that. And I even heard there was a real Infrastructure bill or something. Am waiting for TPM to talk about it. Maybe they will if Gaetz mentions it.

lol, now the PGA needs to move the Masters from AUGUSTA…there was a time when black guys were not allowed to play golf on that course…but they could caddy and take care of the course. until a black guy. WOODS, made them look stupid.
