At this point, anything is better than trump.
But he loses the power of the DOJ to protect himself the minute he steps down. He loses the ability to keep documents and witnesses from coming forward. Even as mentally ill as he is, he realizes that life as he’s known it changes forever the minute he steps down. Unless he has a plan to flee the country, I don’t see him stepping down. I don’t see him conceding the election to Biden. I do see him and Barr doing everything - and I mean everything they can to stay in power. Things are going to get rough.

I don’t think Roberts is going to want this legacy attached to his name in perpetuity. Barr may not care about his legacy because he’ll be dead, as he once famously said, but Roberts does.

Yes. Every major newspaper in the country should have called for his resignation months ago. An argument can be made it should have happened after he fired Comey, and then told Lester Holt why he did it.

I agree. They’ve been playing the long game for decades now. Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Karl Rove and others have been ratfucking elections their entire careers. It’s only recently they’ve brought in the Russians to show them how to completely subvert a democracy. And they might yet pull it off. They’re pulling out all the stops and going for broke. It’s do or die time.
And people laughed at Hillary’s vast right-wing conspiracy.

Biden makes sense here. I am so old I remember when citizen Trump demanded (2014) that Pres. Obama must resign due to the Ebola Virus that clearly panicked Trump when 2 people died here and an American doctor was brought back for treatment. Stupid press never reminds Trump of this when they have the chance.

There were over 100 newspapers that called for Clinton’s resignation because he said he didn’t cheat on his wife. Not one call for resignation from any of them about Trump’s 20,000+ lies and the rest of his criminal activity. Maybe Trump is right about one thing; they think they’ll lose money if he’s gone.

One of the mysteries of American politics is why do Black and Latino men need to be convinced that Trump is not the best option for them. Trump has been a disaster in pretty much everything he has attempted to do, but even if he was super-competent the man is a racist, clearly campaigning of white supremacy.
I kinda get some of the Latinos, specially the exiles, who consider themselves whites and the mere mention of social justice gives them fits. But is there any black man here in the forum that could explain me why would any significant number of non-lunatic black men would like to vote for Trump?

Yes. There is another swath of trump voters, those mostly in it for the money, whom I think can be convinced, if not to vote for Biden, then at least not to vote for trump. They just need to believe that the economic chaos resulting from another four years of abysmal governing would be bad for their bottom lines.
