Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin (R) officially called for a re-canvassing Wednesday, a fairly common re-tallying of the votes that left him just shy of the governor’s mansion.
There’s a phrase that Republican’ts use when they’re on the other end of this situation, but I just can’t seem to remember it. GAWD! It’s right on the tip of my tongue. What was it??? OH! Yeah! “Get over it!”
This is just step 1: Alert the GOP controlled counties that they need to assist in producing “irregularities” that justify the GOP state legislature supplanting the voters’ desires.
Next, we’ll be hearing about all the problems that were discovered during re-canvasing and Bevin and the state legislature will feign outrage that this could happen and how the problems are what actually stole the elections from the voters.
Also, I think I read in Beshear’s speech that there were significant numbers of voters kicked off the lists recently. 140,000 I think was the figure. Who were they, and is there any action being taken to remedy that?
I signed up to the Georgia-based initiative to try to get on top of this problem but I’m not sure what’s been achieved so far …
There was a guy in that thread who said “We should take this seriously, VA and KY weren’t flukes, the media witch hunts are taking a toll!” Something very close to exactly that. I had to chuckle. That’s what amounts to a swing-state realist in the GOP today. Pathetic.
Bevin is saying irregularities in Louisville: Scanners not working and having to put your ballot in a box for later scanning. That happened in 2016 and he didn’t get all worked up about it then when it was trump.
