Bevin Officially Calls For Re-Canvassing

And when it does, they’ll point to that as evidence that clearly votes were being generated after the fact, ergo, a new election is required!

I’d certainly insist on all absentee ballots be counted, if they have not at this time. But I’ve never heard of a statewide difference of 5000 being changed by a recount. I doubt this will be either.

Who was the Indie who picked up the 2% in KY? Not that I care but it creeped me out - going forward - seeing a 3rd party nominee in 2020. Just me but something foreboding about it.

He was a Libertarian and basically mocked the Republicans for ignoring him. He actually bragged about being a spoiler.

I don’t think they’ll actually go through and steal the election. Not that they’re not evil/immoral enough to do it. Just that it has the potential to seriously fuck them in 2020 and I don’t think they like Bevin enough to take that chance.

The Republicans have supermajorities in both houses. They’ll sideline Beshear for 4 years, run someone who isn’t an asshole and probably take it back.

I presume that they wouldn’t be stealing it for Bevin, but for Trump, and to prevent the good things that a Democratic governor might do.

OK, thanks for that.

“In a recanvass, the local election authorities, on a county-by-county basis, will be going through paper ballots, as well as electronic voting machines, to determine whether or not there is a difference in the number of votes for each candidate. The recanvass would also confirm the number reported on the initial canvass of votes submitted to the Secretary of State”

… so it is an administrative procedure - and one that is almost certain to yield next to zero changes …

To erase their votes is wrong, and a direct attack on democracy.

When the Supreme’s Republican Lap Dogs appointed Georgy Porgy President in 2000 they expressed their opinion Lima Charlie about how the GOP views Democracy.

Leslie Dowless’ people are no doubt delivering some this week.

and when they do and manage to force another election I’d hope the electorate, even REPUG, electorate would be smart enough to make it a 70/30 outcome for the Dems.

He likes to cover all his bases so he can say “told you so” on any subject (a Republican trick but don’t tell him it came from me).
