Besides Oath Of Office, Nearly All Of Biden Inauguration Will Be Different Due To COVID

President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be sworn in to office on the steps of the Capitol next month, Biden’s planning committee confirmed on Tuesday.

If it weren’t for COVID-19 Mrs Awiztherewas and I would be there with the kids. You just know trump will be spewing nonsense about crowd size

The Biden-Harris inauguration will be a GOOD day for the nation. Because the crowd will be sparse, you can bet whatever savings you have that Trump will remark about the small size of the crowd, because he’s an asshole. Despite that, it will still be a GOOD day for the nation, because we will be rid of the Trump pestilence from power and will actually have sane people in the White House who will make good decisions for all Americans.

A return to good governance and a functional government. What a concept.
And I bet Joe Biden doesn’t tweet even once while in office.

You want to make 20 Jan 2021 really good? Somebody break Trump’s thumbs.

They may make a small gathering up on the dais, but there’s no way that the Mall isn’t going to be packed to the rafters.

Hilariously enough, we can expect the smallest inauguration crowd ever in the history of the world, period.

Ugh, you know trump is gonna crow and howl about it from the sidelines.

Hope you’re right!

OT Why are we not surprised?

Jenna Ellis, the attorney from Colorado representing President Donald Trump in his bid to overturn his 2020 election loss, was fired from her job as a Weld County prosecutor in 2013 for making mistakes on cases, records obtained by The Colorado Sun show.

Ellis “failed to meet the employer’s expectations” and “made mistakes on cases the employer believes she should not have made,” according to a document from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.

Golden Duke material?

Any chance the GOP majority on SCOTUS will attend in person?

Without PPE?

(Asking for an epidemiologist.)

The oath of office will be different too.

This time it will mean something.

I know at least two people who will be there (masks on), no matter what, me being one of them.

The spontaneous celebrations and mass crowds in front of the WH after Biden clinched victory were definitely a message of what’s coming, and it’s going to be huge unless they somehow block off the whole mall, and then people will just crowd the streets around.

You just know that, if Biden wears a mask, some moron will try and invalidate his Presidency based on a line in some Constitution that only they have read.

I’m still hoping there will be a massive crowd despite COVID so that Trump and his supporters can shut up about crowd sizes (inauguration crowd and MAGATS claiming crowd size is indicative of actual support) forever.

I understand they wanted to have all of the people who refused to perform at the White(s Only) House play remotely but decided it would take too many days.

Speaking of epidemiologists, Dr. Fauci has some advice for Biden and Harris.

Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, said it was his “strong recommendation” that President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris receive a Covid-19 vaccine quickly.

“For security reasons, I really feel strongly that we should get them vaccinated as soon as we possibly can,” he said on “Good Morning America” Tuesday. “You want him fully protected as he enters into the presidency in January.”

Mr. Biden told reporters in Delaware on Tuesday that Dr. Fauci, who will be his chief medical adviser, “recommends I get the vaccine sooner than later.”

“I want to just make sure we do it by the numbers,” Mr. Biden said. “When I do it, you’ll have notice and we’ll do it publicly.”

I hope the organizers find some way to let virtual viewers say they “were there.” The numbers could be biggly and would drive a certain weak ass crazy.

No way should Joe and Jill get in a limo with the Trumps for the traditional ride to the Capitol.

My hope is that on the morning of Jan 20 2021, Twitter will suspend Trump’s twitter account for past offenses (although it would only take one or two tweets that morning to justify a ban). We will hear nothing from Trump about the inauguration unless he relays his running commentary using an Aldis lamp at Mar a Lago to a pirate radio station on a ship anchored off shore.

I will be there with my family. It will be cold (I hope) and we will be masked, as will everyone else (and probably gloved). It will be a festive atmosphere as it was in 2009.
