Now he’ll be another ‘acting director’, and who the hell will now be leading the NCC?? Another ‘acting director’. This is bad.

Because now, Trump-loyal political appointees are to head Defense and Counterterrorism… does any-one else see a pattern taking shape here?

As I see it, this is preamble to an actual coup. I am not being hyperbolic. I’ve seen this play out in other countries. From an intel analyst’s POV this shit has got to be terrifying people right now. It’s scaring the hell out of me, I can tell you.

Here’s hoping I’m dead wrong about all of it. However, my gut says, “stand by…”

I doubt it’s as high as 30%, given all the issues with untrained non-pros wearing them and having to do so for many hours a day without error. But as I said above, there is the risk that you thinking your own face-covering is giving you significant protection leading you to get into situations that you otherwise would avoid.

And as this conversation demonstrates, trying to educate the public that a cloth mask does not give you the protections of an N95, which does not give you the protections of an N95 worn by a trained pro under supervision, is an impossible task. So wear a mask, any mask. The huge epidemiological risk reduction is that your own ickies stick to the inside of your mask.

I think that the GOP crazies are going to do as much damage as they can to our democracy in the next 70 days.
