Yeah. They’ll have to kiss 2024 good-bye. Dotard will surely pick the plastic princess next time.
You offer no evidence to support your claim.
Why?
How is this a risk to the masks’ wearers?
But a surgeon with a brain could, I bet.
I assure you that I am not a mean-spirited person. When I see stories like this, I cannot help but think that getting this virus is just desserts for being in this administration. There’s just something karmic about being in the Tump administration and having a disease.
Thoughts? Yup, but you don’t want to hear them. Prayers? Sure, but I ain’t saying for which result.
It is almost as if that attending White House events without a mask is dangerous. You can’t blame Ben for being reckless. Nobody could have seen that coming.
SUCH SWEET IRONY.
BTW, say hello to Herman Cain when you see him!
Ben can just send a tweet to Herman.
This is proof of ass-to-lips virus transmission.
Ben Carson Tests Positive For COVID-19 After Attending WH Election Night Party
Haha — an early Merry Christmas from the Trumps, jackass!
Here’s hoping you are both right. Although, mitigating that damage somewhat would be nice. We just voted to end that nonsense…
I’m going to remain ‘nervous’ until the transition is complete. I still have my living alternatives mapped out just in case…
Science says it does help the wearer to some extent. You are right, however, that science does not say we can just put on a mask and do whatever we used to do.
I’ll be damned! He’s good at something!
Only the second victim we know about, and we only know because he’s a high profile victim (hate to use that word since this idiot willingly exposed himself). There are likely dozens of covid positives from that even already.
Biden is not stupid, I’m sure he’s already read this:
Right, so education is key.
Simple Fact: a face covering + 6’ distance + disinfecting often (preferably combined with testing and tracing), is all it will take to break the cycle of contagion. The problem is we are not doing this consistently enough (in many cases utterly rejecting it), and so the pandemic rages on.
We’ve seen two periods where uptake of masking/distancing improved, and both times case numbers plummeted. What more proof does anyone need? Just do it, and it’ll be over.
The nuanced details aren’t important. The fact is, my 4-ply paper mask blocks the majority of my ‘droplets’ from entering the space around me. If I’m infected, it prevents a dangerous level of viral load from building up quickly. If everyone else is doing the same, and staying 6’+ apart, and not gathering together with any density indoors, there is almost no chance of spread. We do that universally for 60 days (not a lockdown, just practicing ‘safe social’) and it’ll be pretty much a wrap. This shit isn’t supposed to be this hard, but the Pox, the idiot-faced-dotard, has led us to into a massacre. 240k and counting…
Anecdotal evidence has suggested that the mask limits “the load” of viral intake. So it doesn’t stop the mask wearer from inhaling the virus, it can limit the amount of virus intake and it is thought that a milder illness is the result.
Based upon my limited experience, mask-wearing has become nearly universal. There is also less nose exposure, i have observed.
Hurrah!
But social distancing is another matter. I shop once a week and there is frequent disregard by customers and employees of the 6 foot rule.
That’s where the next wave of prevention efforts should focus, I think.
But there will still be many infections since none of these public health measures will work all the time. A vaccine is not a perfect solution either, but it will be a life-saving improvement.
