Barr Subpoenaed In Dominion’s Defamation Lawsuit Against Fox News

I’m sure they can find some situational reason why they need to save Fox, but won’t save non-Fox media people down-the-road.

Particularly since stare decisis is DOA with this court.

Been a trend with the corrupt conservative justices on the court since at least the Bush v. Gore ruling and their magic “does not set a precedent” asterisk in that decision.

When is Dominion gonna file against Trump and every one of his family menbers who spewed all those false and defamatory statements too?

I want that election worker from Georgia to sue Don-Don into the ground. INTO THE GROUND.

SCOTUS is very bad, but the conservative justices mostly have discernible priorities. Bailing out Fox News on a clear-cut defamation case isn’t one of them. And remember, this is a state court case. Fox can get it to SCOTUS based on a First Amendment defense, but that’s precisely the issue that Thomas and Alito want to make it easier for defamation plaintiffs to prevail on. Everything else is state law, and SCOTUS won’t touch any of those issues.

It was the augers in ancient Roman that read the patterns of birds in flight. While the Etruscans used a haruspex who scanned the entrails of sacrificed animals. And of course like all things the Roman did they also took on haruspices when the birds weren’t giving them the signs they wanted.

Can I borrow that? It’s brilliant!

I can’t help it, but Barr has the look of … “are you gonna finish that rib, 'cuz there’s still some meat on it … here, let me …”

Babies, toddlers, and those with mental health issues. That’s the complete list.

I’m thinking there’s also a pretty good chance that someone at Fox spoke to Barr directly (isn’t Fox where he first “interviewed” for the AG job?) and was told by the AG that the claims were bullshit. I could be wrong, but there was so much communication between the Trump WH and Fox that it really wouldn’t surprise me if someone sought confirmation.

OT, but slightly relevant… note the date, back in November of 2021.

Turns out, no one needed to worry about Stevo, except, you know, Stevo.

Also OT: This is a throw back from 2017, but, you know, the game remains afoot, as they say.

Good news! I am sure he will sprint to his deposition (as well as he can sprint, anyway).

Yep, quite likely. Remember that incident where Barr personally intervened to with Murdoch to prevent Hannity from getting on a plane to go interview that Ukrainian prosecutor who was peddling dirt on Hunter Biden?

In ancient Italy it started with the Etruscans, but it continued within Roman society as well, with haruspices being “outside experts” that even the Roman Senate would consult with.
