Dr. Scott Atlas, President Donald Trump’s favorite COVID-19 adviser who opposes lockdowns and often espouses Trump-friendly beliefs on the pandemic, made an eyebrow-raising suggestion on Monday night regarding family gatherings on Thanksgiving.

What a lovely idea. Increase the chances of them getting a painful not necessarily but often fatal disease so they can suffer completely alone except for masked medical staff with no contact with family, all because they might die this year anyway. I’m participating in my third 90th Zoom birthday since August this week, and looking forward to the 103 birthday of a friend’s mom. Each one of these people lives a far richer and more valuable life then Atlas could even imagine
