There is a difference between being smart and being educated. The most generous thing you can say about Dr. Atlas is that he is highly educated. Atlas is also a demagogue and history will regard him the same way they do Andrew Wakefield - the purveyor of the vaccine/autism theory that resulted in the needless suffering and death of countless children from vaccine preventable diseases. He will not be missed.

Don’t know how many seen this photo in the WP, it’s heart wrenching:
An elderly man in a hospital gown buried his head in the arms of a doctor who, fully clad in protective equipment, hugged and consoled the patient. The doctor’s fixed, disturbed gaze can be seen through the plastic face shield.
“I want to be with my wife,” the frail patient, battling covid-19, had told Joseph Varon, chief of staff at the United Memorial Medical Center in Houston. Varon had found the man out of his hospital bed, crying and seeking help.
There are Trump fans who still think this is a hoax. Unbelievable.

Yes … Atlas has knowledge and experience … if only he would focus in those areas … instead of mucking about in areas where he has no credentials whatsoever.
Atlas’s rambling about in disease control and disease research was pure scientific & medical malpractice.
Was like allowing a podiatrist to do open heart surgery … just because he obnoxiously insisted that he “knew things”

Nothing will break through to the people who believe Sandy Hook was a conspiracy, but the combination of hospital risk management department fear of people seeing triage happening, the very real and justified impediments created by HIPAA and the similarly valid fear of getting infected that have kept us from seeing what’s happening in the ICU’s and makeshift COVID wards has certainly added to the death toll. I cannot imagine there would have been the kind of idiocy we saw over the holiday if we’d had true saturation coverage for the visual learners.
