Depends. Is it the last one?

I wonder how much Chiselin’ Trump will charge for his endorsement? It’ll be fun to watch him endorse several GOP hopefuls, thereby maximizing his take.

I just think if they want to be impartial, there should be that option. There are plenty of lawyers out there who would welcome the chance, I can be sure.

Gotta catch my flight to Minne. Later, folks.

If it’s what you say, I love it, especially later in the summer week.

It’s a trick… the beer is always empty when he passes it…

And former President Trump has failed that task.

Trump will now release everything he has.

After all, he’s done nothing wrong and has nothing to hide.

Call it the Trump Dump.

God, I hope so, but will there be proof?

Nah, that’s not gonna happen. Any lawyer who deposes Trump for the committee is necessarily going to be an attorney for the committee. If I present a witness for deposition and the dude on the other side of the table is someone I’ve never heard of before and who doesn’t represent the party that issued the subpoena, that deposition is over before it even gets started.

Already done - Danny Kaye, “The King’s New Clothes”, in which a would-be Emperor loses a suit… :sunglasses:

“The king was in his all together as naked as the day that he was born!”

Last December, the SC refused to help out Trump with that TX lawsuit to overturn Biden’s victory. They did the same with a similar appeal from PA. In fact, they have made it very clear they want nothing to do with it.

The judges then explain how Trump’s rhetoric incited supporters to commit acts of violence.

“Then-President Trump called for his supporters to gather in Washington, D.C. for a ‘wild’ response to what he had been alleging for months was a stolen election,” the court argues. “On January 6th, President Trump directed his followers to go to the Capitol and ‘fight’ for their Country with the aim of preventing Congress’s certification of the electoral vote.”

The court also argues that congressional investigators need information about what the White House knew about potential threat assessments leading up to the riot, as the White House serves as “the hub for intelligence about threats of violent action against the government, and the Executive Branch is in charge of federal law enforcement and mobilizing the National Guard to defend the Capitol.”

Stop focusing on Trump. This is about saving the GQP and its project to create permanent minority-rules white Christian hegemony…and in this situation, it’s about saving it FROM Trump. The last thing the GQP theo-fascist party needs is everything to come crashing down as a result of smoking guns or other damning evidence being discovered, etc.

Overturning an election is a bridge too far… it wasn’t close enough to IOKIYAR their way to another Bush v. Gore.

But protecting Trump here from repercussions from his actions would be pretty on brand for the Fascist 5, most because it will also be protecting other Republicans

ETA: as @sniffit rightly noted
