The opinion eviscerates The Big Lie. Judge Millett must have been having a lot of fun imagining Trump and his MAGA people losing their damn minds reading the simple truth.
Any thoughts about a likely SCOTUS path?

So, do they appeal to the same court en banc, or go straight to the supremes?
And is the panel’s prior stay of release of documents terminated immediately or do they leave it in place for a few days to let them appeal?

This is great, but it could be stayed by an appeal to the US Supreme Court, who could just let Donnie run out the clock until the Rs take back the House and kill the investigation.

This is quelle interesting. I don’t think this failed appeal is a surprise, but now we are going to find out whether SCOTUS is just a bench of hacks or not.
14 days ends just a day or two before Christmas. Dare we hope to not get coal in our stockings???
But I bet the SCOTUS won’t do that.

Their move: Schedule it for the October 2022 session so that the ruling is moot no matter what and then uphold the Appeals Court to pretend to save face. Then the GQP will take over Congress by cheating our elections and get rid of the Committee and put all materials under seal.

No surprise here. The question is, will SCOTUS even bother to hear this case or will they just allow the lower court ruling to stand? I wouldn’t be surprised if SCOTUS just takes a pass on this case since it had so little merit to begin with and every lower court judge agreed that it was a stupid case to begin with.
I’m betting they refuse to hear it and let the appeals court ruling stand.
