They won’t. They are not honorable people, when it comes to ‘right’ versus ‘wrong’, but throwing in their lot wholeheartedly with Trump is not their cup of tea.

Next stop: SCOTUS. The administrative stay remains in effect for another 14 days to file for cert. and a motion for emergency injunction. Assuming Trump files (which he will), the stay continues until SCOTUS rules on the motion for emergency relief. And SCOTUS won’t have any interest in saving Fat Ass on this. Docs will be in the committee’s hands by the end of the month, maybe the first week or two of January thanks to the holidays.

Maybe. The only way for Roberts not to look like he’s been mooted, which he has, is for him to vote along with the other 5. As he’s so concerned about his “legacy”, I suspect we’ll be seeing him drift in that direction.

the DC Circuit Court of Appeals paused its ruling for two weeks so that Trump could seek a Supreme Court intervention.
Today’s December 9th - two weeks = December 23…Soooo
SC could do something that muddies the water & give Trump lots of breathing room -?
Or SC could see no way or reason to get this ick all over themselves and basically slam the door on this particular issue ?
but even if the SC does firmly reject Trump’s argument …
