A federal judge’s ruling striking down Florida’s ex-felon “poll tax” law was put on hold Wednesday, after the full U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit voted to hear the case.
This is really awesome: Detroit Pistons will use their practice facility as huge polling location, where voters can also register on Election Day A few days ago Atlanta Hawks announced their arena would be largest polling place in Fulton County GA

We are partnering with @michsos office and City Clerk of Detroit’s Office on a series of initiatives to drive voter awareness and participation.
The @HenryFordNews Detroit Pistons Performance Center will serve as a voting center for the November 3 election.
I thought John Roberts ruled that institutional racism is extinct in America. Well somebody needs to tell John that it can still be seen wandering free in the 11th Circuit.
Florida voters had already decided on this. Republicans didn’t care for the people’s decision, took it to Court, and a majority Republican Appeals Court went out-of-order to grant them what they wanted.
This is what happens when white supremacy meets voter suppression.
Perhaps Biden uses some of his war chest, which certainly wont be needed for commercials this year, to pay everyone’s fees? That would likely give him Florida, if all of them turned around and voted.
There’s an amendment in the National Defense Appropriations Act that says you cannot accept other people’s money to pay outstanding court fees and fines in order to restore your right to vote. It’s on page 1,198, near the bottom.
He hopes? Well I hope I wake up tomorrow 20 pounds lighter, but that blasted science part keeps getting in the way!
What an ass. And they are even worse for not calling him out.
There are 12 active judges on the 11th Circuit. Unless someone recused, they should all be participating in the en banc proceeding. 7 R’s (incl. 6 Trumpers) to 5 D’s.
