Another Wave Of Campus Arrests Overnight

Well, that’s something. Farm dogs I have known just get the table scraps.

Biden is very disciplined about avoiding comment on the case, the jurors, and the witnesses. Even if Biden was considered a party to the case, which he isn’t. This is the sort of argument that got Blanche into trouble with the Judge last time.

“Israel…supports the international rule of law”.
Nope. How many UN West Bank resolutions has Israel ignored?

“Hammering” these asshats isn’t the way we do things. You’ll get shunted aside if you do. (See: Hasan, Mehdi)

This dude is everywhere on the teevee. He’s like the new Lindsey Graham. He’s omnipresent. Does he ever do any work? He talks a lot and says nothing.

That she called him out on it in the most obvious way was a great start for me.

Despite the efforts of Israeli propaganda to push the lie, these protests are NOT pro-Hamas. They are anti-genocide. Now, are there a few imbeciles among the protestors making incendiary statements against Israel, yes. But I would say first, are these really protestors or right-wing/Israeli provocateurs? Second, there are idiots in every crowd, so ignore them.

The point is, these protests are anti-Israel, anti-genocide and anti-slaughter. But Israel and it’s apologists NEED them to appear anti-semitic in order to discredit them and distract from the war crime of murdering 35,000 innocent women and children.

Furthermore, BOTH Hamas and Israel are truly fucking evil in all this. EVIL. So to choose Israel in this is selecting the kind of evil you’re comfortable with. And with the exception of a few morons or provocateurs, no one is defending Hamas. That means all the dopes posting the “Bring them Home” bullshit on social media have chosen to support the evil that Israel has perpetrated since 1948 and continues to perpetrate.

I believe it is their way to encourage the resurrection of Jesus. At which point all the Jews will be tortured for eternity in a great big firey pit.

It’s a double whammy for fascist Christians.

I have a set of plastic small parts bins from Israel. They’re made of very colorful plastic.

Good point. I fear that Israel runs a real risk of devolving into something much closer to Hungary or Turkey than anything resembling a true ‘liberal democracy’. Its current government is horrible, and all the signs suggest that things are going to either stay the same or become much worse.

Especially since they keep going on and on and on and on and on about 10/7, which they really need to get over. Just makes one want another batch of 300 missiles fired at by Iran, you know?

I was just watching The Big Knife with Jack Palance and Ida Lupino on TCM, Clifford Odets’ hate mail to Hollywood (Palance is basically playing John Garfield). There’s a hat check girl (Shelly Winters) threatening to give a scandal story to the tabloids. Studio fixer Wendell Corey (presumably based on Eddie Mannix) tells Palance to give her some doctored gin and walk away. Palance is trying to figure out if he’s serious.

Isn’t “a wake-up call” precisely what Biden and Blinken have been giving Netanyahu?

Eliciting the memory of a beloved mascot along with RFK Jr. seems wantonly disparaging to Sonny the Cuckoo Bird.

It’s not just sharing of intelligence. It’s total outsourcing. Both Russian and Middle East Intel is dependant on IDF sources.

A goodly portion of it, I think, is the continuing national guilt for our behavior during the Nazi extermination process during WWII. The US turned away at least one boatload of Jewish refugees and I don’t think anyone wants to go through that again.
