Tom Wright-Piersanti, a New York Times politics editor, on Thursday deleted and apologized for past “offensive” tweets he posted about Jewish people about a decade ago, and the newspaper is “reviewing next steps.”
O/T but more of this Damn deer get more protection then children Vermont limits the number of rounds in semiautomatic weapons during hunting season “to give the deer a chance,” Senator Patrick Leahy says while discussing gun reform legislation. “I’d like to give children who are in a school a chance; people who are going to a concert, give them a chance.”
“The idea that this last mass shooting, he fired 41 rounds in 30 seconds, that’s the kind of weapon you have on a battlefield. There’s no place for that in the United States.” https://cnn.it/2HyMCQf
So on one hand we have the leader of the Republican Party and sitting president making racist tweets.
On the other hand a newspaper editor’s ten year old tweets, even though he is not part of any one party but instead because he works at a newspaper, this is evidence that… the Democrats are racist?
When Progressives find racism or bigotry in their ranks, they deal with it appropriately, not excusing or condoning it. Tell me, what consequences has Trump or any other Republican faced for similar or much worse behavior?
So Trump toadies who maintain he’s “King of the Jews”…
That there are “very fine people” among (literally) murderous torch-wielding Nazis…
And that strawman reporter “Bernie Bernstein” stole the Alabama election from their child-rapist…
Have seized upon some decade-old tweets from one, obscure guy as “proof of rampant anti-Semitism within the New York Times” and “how liberal media continues (sic) to condone, promote, and celebrate racism.”
Actually it was the Democrats that were working with the Russians to help get Trump elected. It’ll all come out when Barr issues the indictments. You’ll see.
