Illinois’ Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker has asked officials in his state to take steps to implement a boycott against El Salvador in response to President Nayib Bukele’s cooperation with the Trump administration in denying a Maryland resident, deported and detained in one of his infamously hellish detention camps, his due process rights. Pritzker has asked…
So! Now all one needs to do is Xit out that someone you dislike has “hit an old lady over the head with a baseball bat” and they’re gone, disappeared, no due process or anything? Sound right?
Also, at one point I had some sympathy for Mayor Eric Adams. But not after his brain dead “tequila drink” blathering. Was that him, or did the commissars of the Maladministration have a kalashnikov to his head?
What the hell was NYC thinking with this buffoon. They always elect assholes. Krotch, Ghouliani, Bloomberg, de Blasio, Adams. It’s like they have a death wish.
He is taking advantage of the moment. Grampy Orange Pants is showing serious signs of no longer being competent. Get in there while you can. We have to focus on the evil being done, but we also need to understand how that evil is bubbling up. And even for Donnie, it lacks coherence. It is like every thought he has today developed no later than his college years. After that, anything current are just retreads of retreads. A case in point.
@darrtown Harvard Med scientist ICE lockup in LA for 2 months had her hearing (finally) today, but a not a lot accomplished. Mixed results: deportation doesn’t appear valid “In my 25 years of practice, I’ve never seen anything like it,” the judge said, but release still undecided. MSNBC had the only news I could find:
UPDATE (April 23, 2025, 11:09 a.m. ET):A Louisiana judge found Kseniia Petrova’s deportation legally deficient at a preliminary immigration hearing Tuesday, her lawyer told NBC News. According to her attorney, the judge said the government’s notice to appear did not meet legal standards and gave the government a week to file additional documentation to support its case. A follow-up hearing has been scheduled for July 22 to determine if the case can proceed. Petrova’s attorney is pushing for her release in the meantime. A hearing on Petrova’s visa cancellation and initial detention in Vermont is still scheduled for May 14 in Burlington.
Jeez I would have thought that DonOLD would think that the Redskins changed their name to Commanders in his honor? I mean DonOLD like to command people to do this and that.
I took it as a nefarious reference to the drinks Bukele staff put before the visiting Senator and the unlawfully held prisoner to deflect from the heinous conditions he was (is) being held under…
The reason for Petrova’s current problems with ICE and deportation is she had frog embryos she was going to use in her research. Customs people at her place of entry threw a fit that she had something “biological” in her possession.
“You have to ask yourself, are they technically aiding and abetting them, because aiding and abetting criminals and terrorists is a crime”
You mean “aiding and abetting” like you, the entire executive branch, both congressional majorities, and a good chunk of the federal judiciary are doing?
Jeez. Image for these people is all. And what they think is a good image is over done and garish. And this guy needs a make up studio. That is an SOD will strike fear in the hearts of our adversaries. Imagine what the troops think. Gawd forbid that his forehead is shiny in the studio lights. What a bunch of vapid, vain, posturing dweebs and hicks.
The Trump administration denied Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ request for individual and public assistance following an outbreak of severe storms and tornadoes that also affected neighboring Mississippi and Missouri and left more than 40 people dead.
