“I was fighting tyranny in the D.C. Capitol.”

And lost.

They’re just so pathetic it’s almost impossible to hate them. Almost that is. I’ll make the required effort.

His lawyers filed the motion for pretrial release on Feb. 23. In court documents, they argued that Sabol’s violent actions “appears to have arisen in the context of a hysterical throng,”

How come black people die because police had to be aggressive because a black person was in an “excitable delirium”? And now white folks want to claim that mass hysteria is a real, and white folks have no weapons to fight against mass hysteria?

When did it dawn on you Mr. Sabol that you had been lied to? Was it when you came out of some fugue state and realize that you were beating the shit out of police officers? Or was when you heard the news that your throng killed a police officer?

The way he acted after fleeing the airport shows that he KNOWS he was in the wrong.

Such a ridiculous persecution complex. However this does illustrate the “It’s all about me” mind-set of these assholes and their need to playact their derring do.

Grow the fuck up.

“Cellphone records and video footage allegedly show Sabol at the Capitol steps on Jan. 8 appearing to assault two officers. The indictment alleges that Sabol wrested a baton from a D.C. police officer who had been knocked down by another rioter. The officer was, according to prosecutors, later dragged into the pro-Trump mob that ripped off his helmet and gas mask, stole his cellphone, maced him, kicked him, struck him with poles and stomped on him.”

Enjoy dying in prison, Jeffrey.

From the article, I get the sense he may be faking a lot the behavior and failed suicide attempt, where he gets pulled over for driving erratically. His lawyers sound like they may not be public defenders, and also not be "affordable ". Oh, he seems to be have access to funds or credit to purchase multiple plane tickets, ski in Switzerland etc…fairly rational choice to choose SUI vs. a country in S. America, if you have the means. These are just musings of course.

The entire GOP has the collective emotional mentality of a spoiled fifteen year-old.

I was 15 once.

But I never thought or acted like these guys

I’m starting to think an important story is being missed here.

I recall a few other recent reports about insurrectionists with long histories of mental illness. To what extent has mental illness played a roll in the capitol attack as opposed to ‘good people radicalized’ by whatever: Trump, Democrats, oppressive government, yada yada yada.

If many were motivated by mental illness that makes a big difference. We need to know.

ETA (in response to comments): I’m thinking in terms of a macro sense. At least some want to portray the insurrectionist as patriots motivated by government abuse (stolen elections, whatever). Know that many had histories of DX mental illness (not the ‘they have to be nuts’ bs) would be informative and helpful in batting down the patriot stories. I’m probably overthinking this, but I think a history of mental illness is important context in reporting on the individual insurrectionists.

The wicked tyranny of…wait…the will of the majority as expressed through legal voting? I’m confused.

The Swiss have very high standards, Jeffrey.

Doubt you would have made it past Swiss border control.

Sabol, however, retreated from his plans of a Swiss getaway upon seeing officers at the airport in Boston, becoming worried that law enforcement was searching for him.

Are there no flights from Mexico to Switzerland? Or, you know, Mexico to anywhere in Europe where you can hop on a train to Switzerland (rather nice experience, that)?

I’ll bet he didn’t get a refund on his flight, too.

I don’t man…I think the majority of the tens of thousands participants that day are what I would consider, personally, as those having some form & degree of mentally illness. How could they not? I don’t think it’s that useful of an objective to think about the granular details of these people…macroscopic understanding of society wide trends and their future policies/remedies don’t need quantification of this dipshit’s various issues and demographic attributes.

Would be helpful if a judge would unequivocally say that there is no excuse for lawless behavior if the information you choose to rely on has been repeatedly shown to be for a dishonest source and there is zero excuse for walling yourself off in a bubble of lies. Or something like that. Put them on notice that if you rely on the right wing bubble’s BS, you are liable.

Police in New City, New York pulled Sabol over on Jan. 11 for “driving erratically,” the documents said. They allegedly found Sabol covered in blood with “severe lacerations on his thighs and arms,” and claimed that he tried to commit suicide.

Judge Sullivan didn’t say as much, but this sounds like a protective custody situation even if he weren’t considered a threat to others. But I’ll bet Sullivan is really looking forward to his retirement in just a few weeks.

I read on twitter yesterday the FBI knocked on a door looking for an insurrectionist and the man who answered basically confessed to being at the Capitol on January 6th and gave them information.

Turns out it was a different insurrectionist, but they arrested him anyway.

EDIT: Here it is.

He’s a gullible idiot that tried to overturn a legitimate election. Let him spend a few years in a federal penitentiary to focus his mind.

I’m not personally, unequivocally opposed to suicide. Sometimes it’s best for all concerned.
