I have shared before that I am a recovering alcoholic with 30+ years of sobriety. I was in a lot of trouble with the law in my 20s, but the one thing that NEVER happened was getting arrested for a DWI after blowing under the legal limit. But I sure lied about how and why I got pulled over - a lot.
That’s what alcoholics do.
Could have told you not to drink and drive in Texas. It is not the state it used to be in that regard. MADD more or less took the state over in the 90s and there is zero tolerance. There is less than zero in Austin.
