#3 sounds perfect to me

Yesterday’s Rockefeller Republican is today’s centrist Democrat

Well, all I can say is thank G*d their god in the WH has never worn a tan suit, because that would be tacky.
Perhaps this incident can take its place among other infamous brawls in Congress https://history.house.gov/Historical-Highlights/1851-1900/The-most-infamous-floor-brawl-in-the-history-of-the-U-S–House-of-Representatives/, although some were over things like slavery rather than assuaging the ego of a malignant narcissist.

Are there countries with a spiritual grounding (I also avoided the word “religion”) that have endured such a moral dilemma and done better (or worse)?

From Devin’s Cow of course!

Trump ally Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) was quick to say that some aspects of her testimony contradicted that of Ukraine diplomat Bill Taylor

How does he know? I though republicans were not being let into the hearings!

Use one that I baked.

Um, could they have just vacated the room, left the usurpers in there and locked the doors? Post a guard and not let them out. See how long the bladder effect takes to change their minds.

Yep, they were so serious they ordered pizza from inside the SCIF with their cell phones, which also should not have been allowed inside due to those electronics being unsecured and open to being compromised by outside parties. If that’s what the House GOP’s principled stance is, I have to say the country needs to know how absurd and thoroughly hypocritical they were in comparison to how all other secure SCIF information was treated in the past by themselves.

My local FOX-based news channel this morning did not report any “storming of this hearing” by these despicable Rs. Instead, it was described as an act of defiance against being left out of the hearing with some weak justification to bolster their actions. So they accomplished what they set out to do in some sense. Maybe not in the national news but at the local level in many parts of the country its being reported just as they had hoped it would. That is what I believe this effort was really all about. This crap was done not only for Faux News but for all the Sinclair outlets and other rightwing media across the country at the local level.

And pimping out their son, and stealing their mother’s medication, and throwing trash out of the window of their car while looking for spare change.

It was a felony suborned by DJT. Might have been Freedom Caucus-originated but I doubt it. I think it’s the GOP Usual Suspects who we can bet have been #kompromat-ed via rubles.

That’s a good one.

These unruly Republican’s may need a theme song. How about Alanis Morrisette’s “Uninvited”?:

Hard to say. But, we portray ourselves as better … the beacon of light … the indispensable country. Our myths define us.

Would that be an excellent Lye-Cream Pie? or a Baked Road-Apple Pie?

Watched Duck Soup last night as well. One of the funniest movies ever made. Where is a man like Rufus T. Firefly when we need him. Watching the scene with Chicolini, Pinky and Trentino, I could only think of Giuliani, Fruman and Parnas!
