After Gleefully Embracing Kanye West, Right-Wing Figures Reposition In Response To Antisemitic Posts

There are those who are shocked that he’s at this point.

The misogyny was always there, but the stuff that maga Republicans are cheering for, was rare.

The failure of the mainstream media is a cliché.

Gee I wonder who could be financing racist liars?

Surprise! It’s a Mellon!

But as Election Day approaches, he’s getting a big boost from a megadonor closer to home: the Wyoming-based heir to a 19th-century banking fortune who wrote in a self-published autobiography that Black people are “belligerent” and “unwilling to pitch in to improve their own situations.”

Timothy Mellon, the grandson of banking tycoon Andrew Mellon, donated $4 million to American Policy Fund, a super PAC that has spent heavily throughout the year on ads supporting O’Dea and attacking his opponents, according to Federal Election Commission reports. Super PACs are allowed to accept unlimited contributions from individuals and corporations but are barred from coordinating with candidates or their campaigns.

Four hours to go and nothing has happened. Can we now call these people crazy and stupid now?

You have to read the article I posted about Kanye and the Grammys.

Of course, though I am experiencing some tingling in my extremities.

I’m baffled by all the people who think he’s “great” and therefore should be listened to. As far as the MAGAts go, they’ll latch onto anything that validates their hatred and amplifies their voice.

I’m familiar with Kanye’s relationships with MTV n the Grammys, but he isn’t the only a-hole artist.

Believe me I know that. There’s a lot of them out there.

Since I have Bipolar Disorder anyway I’ve decided it’s not all bad. In fact there are some good things that can come out of it if you can keep it under control and not scare folks. :joy:

You are that diner in the old joke about how awful the food is, whining, "And such small portions!’

That is funny, in a Seinfeld kinda lame joke way.

But it wasn’t clickbait! It was the lead - after two days of the same MAL lead. AND, I didn’t interact, I complained, which I would not consider really interacting. Interacting is when I say, ‘‘how ya feeling?’’ and you say, after a pause, hanging your head, ‘’… not so good, life sucks. At work they’re all calling me ‘‘Karen’’ now, even the unattractive ones!‘’

A little something just for you:

              Talk to Me

Dose up dose down, find the sweet spot, plateau,
Willie Mays Marilyn Monroe, dog in a tux on piano

join the scene, side effects junk thoughts restlessness,
grind your teeth liver tests, color TV

seductive voice, “ask your GP”, jump start Zoloft,
serotonin, receptors playing catch, ramp it up let it fly

psych-lite Abilify, hard core Risperdal, Seroquil, go
for it all, Star Wars saber swords

playing pinball in the neural pathways, what more
could you ask. Hey doc, screw this shit, talk to me,

walk me through, out the other side, find some peace,
way to live with the scared little imp inside.

I disagree. Kanye can write lyrics. Whether those lyrics are sung or spoken, he has that talent. No disrespect to David Crosby, but he’s not a rapper or MC.

Sometimes Rap is just that, but there are also some very original music being done.

That describes most of Pop music. Alicia Keys worked for years to break into the business because she sang, played instruments and wrote her own music- the business didn’t know what to do with her. Real artists have problems with the industry. The industry wants whatever sound is hot and they want to pump out as much of that sound as they can. Prince, George Michael and Janet Jackson found out the hard way that big contracts have big clauses and artists get constrained by what the industry wants/thinks.

Oh yes, one artist not in the genre claiming that genre isn’t music. Whatever David thinks, Rap is influencing other genres and is worldwide. Crosby isn’t speaking for the world.

Having said all of that, Kanye is still a shitty human. He is spitting in the faces of the people that made him a celebrity.

I was the staff. We drank a 12er the day before, I told him to just go home and take an early weekend.

I did, he didn’t. He was running. His displeasure ran deeper than work.

ETA: then his brother took over and broke everything. It was a sight.
