After Early Missile Alert, Officials Had Three Hours To Prepare

More details have emerged about the early intelligence that helped ensure Tuesday’s Iranian missile strikes left no dead U.S. soldiers or damaged buildings at the Iraqi bases.

Imagining the US was under attack. Would we be alerted before it happened?

Could anything have been more staged?

Where do you start ?

" Graham compares Trump’s Iran remarks to Reagan’s ‘tear down this wall’ address

By J. Edward Moreno - 01/09/20 09:56 AM EST"

"Michael Steele, the former Republican National Committee Chairman, said Graham is “smoking stuff none of us should get our hands on because it clearly does some stuff to the brain.”

It’s highly unlikely this will be the end of Iran’s retaliation.

True for Iran as a nation state. Otherwise it’s going to be proxy-terror hell in the MidEast and here at home…

Everything about Donald is staged for presentation, except for the sniffing and snuffling. There is no substance there, only appearance.

So Trump basically told the Iranians, hit me back and we are even, but wait let me get prepared so it doesn’t hurt.

How about that for “Art of a Deal”, I (Trump) get to assassinate one of your generals so I can brag how tough I am, and how willing I am to disregard norms and laws. You (Khamenei) get to shoot missiles on to a US base and get to brag how you slapped the Great Satan and he didn’t dare to respond.

Both get to bathe in the sea of adulation from their respective moronic bases of support.

The Iranian response was about as effective as Trump’s missile’s shoot at the Syrian air field in retaliation for their alleged use of chemical weapons.

Just like I said yesterday, the whole thing was kabuki theater.

I think tRump took out Soleimani to silence the story about all the money his campaign laundered for the Iranian general.

It was the passage of time that caused the possibility of loss of American life. Sooner or later it claims us all, and it is good that people in the Trump Administration took the time to contemplate their existential dread.

Someone (I forget who, but believe it was here at TPM) pointed out that Graham’s behavior is that of a pilot fish – living off and dependent upon the detritus of a shark. After McCain died, Pilot Fish Lindsey swam over to IMPOTUS and has since been living off the rancid effluvium spewing from IMPOTUS’s gaping maw.

Iran shows the disrespect for “The Donald” by firing missiles into US bases.
“The Donald” warned them not to retaliate or else.
When they did retaliate Trump folded like a cheap suit.
His speech was that of a bully being put in his place.

More Proof of what you said.

“But a detailed examination of Graham’s military record — much of it obtained under the Freedom of Information Act — shows that the Air Force afforded him special treatment as a lawmaker, granting him the privileges of rank with few expectations in return.”

Obama’s fault it happened.

Trump’s greatness (and not-Deep State-for-the-moment intelligence community) that it wasn’t disastrous.

See how easy that is … when you’re willing to suspend reality.

If that’s the case, think of the quick money made in the energy markets by insiders in the know.
Chances are, many bets were placed before the assassination and Iran’s retaliation.
No one will ever look into that though. If they actually do, they will see nothing. Just like Sgt Schultz.

Iranian missile targeting was dead on. They deliberately chose equipment buildings they knew would be unoccupied in the wee hours.

Ruh-roh #1 - They could have just as easily hit occupied buildings dead on.
Ruh-roh #2 - Base bombardment shelters wouldn’t have been deep or strong enough.
Ruh-roh #3 - Base missile defense can’t stop Iranian incoming.
Ruh-roh #4 - They’ve got local intelligence inside the base.
Ruh-roh #5 - Text message to Donald’s phone with image of certain financial document.

One, three and four for sure.

What!?!! What do you mean, “(t)here is no substance there”?!?? Oh, you weren’t talking about Donnie’s nostrils? Never mind.

The only substance in the situation are the ones being abused.
