True, but Iran has time. And with their response they have put the focus back on Trump’s impeachment for now. The dog wagged but not long enough to do much for Trump.
I think you’re giving too much credit to Trump on this. Iran told Iraq about the pending missile attack, Iraq then told the US. Iran knew the US would be notified and would be able to move people in that time-frame to more secure locations. This was basically Iran slapping Trump to let him know they could hit back, but not hitting so hard as to cause a return punch from the US, and so far it appears they hit with just the right amount of force to achieve that.

Maybe, but my point stands, the incidents of the last few days give the mendacious, corrupt tyrants that run both countries something to brag about to their respective audience of imbeciles.
Iran deliberately did not cause casualties. It did show that it could precisely target its missiles. The message was “We can kill you if we want to” like the US attack submarine captain “pinging” the Soviet sub during the Cold War.

Thank you for bringing up something that has bothered me since I heard there were no casualties.
Iran has short range ICBMs that have precise targeting, something not that necessary with nuclear tipped ICBMs. Does that not bother anyone, that no one seems to want to comment on this?
BUT if you add-er-all up, you’re absolutely correct. There is precious little substantive about anything connected with tRump.
