Despite being officially banned from entering the country by the Israeli government, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) has requested special permission to enter this weekend so she can visit her grandmother, according to a Haaretz reporter.
When Democrats stand up unified for their own, Israel comes to its senses and realizes than long term you don’t want to alienate a whole political party if you want to keep getting subsidized. Well done Tim Kaine! And I think the self inflicted damage to the super corrupt ethno nationalist authoritarian (take your pick which one–theyre practically twins) is done.
How pathetic is this double flip flop going to look to the Israeli voters in next month’s election? Hopefully, it helps take down Netanyahu.

In theory, yes, and it could have been done a long time ago.
So why has it never happened?
Well we shouldn’t be surprised, really. They will ignore the hundreds of thousands of comments against it, of course, and implement the rule. And it will end up in court. Again. The only question is whether the court continues to blunder it’s way into protecting “religious” rights instead of equal protection.
Israel was initially going to allow Tlaib and Omar to enter Israel. Then after Trump’s urging they disallowed them entry. Now in a partial flip flop (Omar is still banned) they are allowing Tlaib to enter. It was always common knowledge that Tlaib’s grandmother was 90 and in failing health.
Without Israel with Israelis in it there can be no endtimes, or second coming. In some cases it’s not an either or situation.
The GOP are willing to see our country humiliated, our representatives made to beg for their visas. I feel ashamed that Tlaib had to write this letter. This will–and should–have consequences.

I’d like to see her go and dare the Israelis to deny her entry, causing in international incident and exacerbating an already massive PR disaster. In fact, it’d be sweet if she took a host of other Reps and Senators with her. Israel is not going to win this one.

This is exceptionally smart strategic thinking on Tlaib’s part: by rejecting Israel’s bullshit “private visit” offer, she is rejecting the validity of their initial barring. This is, again, exceptionally smart, and should put paid to any chaos-agent’s thought that she (like AOC, Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, Cummings), is incapable of out-thinking Fat Don, his cronies, and his international enablers.
It will be interesting to see the celebration outside her grandmother’s home when Tlaib comes to visit. Israel is going to have to cave.
