And the old fool on the hill just makes things worse.
Do Jared or Ivanka even appear behind him when he pulls this shit?

“Trump said Wednesday that he was ready to acquiesce to congressional demands and use billions more to fight coronavirus…”

“But I would like you to do us a favor first…”

Wow…an acknowledgement of reality…at least sort of. Of course, he had to cover all the bases…‘Now, it may get bigger, it may get a little bigger, it may not get bigger at all…’. Ooooh, the stable genius has spoken. Anyone who feels reassured by this clown and his cohorts…sorry, anything I come up with is either profane or just simply rude. I must be getting a little cranky this afternoon.

Yup. More money to divert to wall.

The ironic thing is that it will be mostly Trump supporters who refuse to take the vaccine when it is finally available, and the virus will take out the old people who lean more towards Republicans. By sitting on their asses they are laying the foundation of the destruction of their base. They should be terrified of what’s coming if it gets loose here.

And more tax cuts for the rich.

“We’ll take it. If they want to give more, we’ll do more,” he said of Congress. “We’re going to spend whatever is appropriate. Hopefully we’re not going to have to spend so much because we really think we’ve done a great job in keeping it down to a minimum.”

So, the plan was to blame the ‘Do Nothing’ Congress for all losses, of money and lives?
Not surprising: he’s always looking for an angle to turn bad news to his advantage, and against their ‘enemies.’

I think this is an “oh crap we’re fucking up more than necessary” moment.

So…the country is infected with a highly contagious virus that could wreak catastrophic damage on our society…

AND…the coronavirus is a danger, too.

“Now, it may get bigger, it may get a little bigger, it may not get bigger at all,” [Trump] said.

He’s still bragging about the size of his inaugural crowd?

Don’t panic. Doctors/ virologists I’m speaking to say 98% of people will be fine, even if they get Covid-19. They expect it will go around the world, but that most people who get it will be a little sick, then recover. The danger is to vulnerable people. Hospitals/ old age homes.

This is a time when Racism meets Reckoning.

Trump’s entire Presidency had been a Nativist id…a primal scream of feel-good for the Right Wing.

Now, even people having Fun in the Trump Era have to depend on a Government which, though satisfyingly racist, is headed by a person who lies at will.

So it’s racism versus confidence in avoiding getting sick…because Trump is dismantling government as we know it…turning it into a Post Truth entity…and that is no recipe for what we are facing

Harvard’s got a regularly updated page on the virus.

The issue is the number of serious cases - 18%. Do the math. 60% catch it the first year. 20% catch the disease. 18% are serious. We have 2.5 hospital beds per 1000 typical - and that is NOT excess capacity.

1000 X .60 X .20 X .18 = 21.6

We are a magnitude short of beds. That 20% number is a conservative number, too.

Oh, I see Trumpet Mouth is sporting his pink sympathy tie, as if he really feels like a human being (other than the women he feels as he gropes), as if he has a soul (not a soul but a hole you could drive a tractor trailer through), or has normal human empathy (I could shoot someone and not lose a vote, you can grab them by the pussy, I am the most truthful of the true) . . .
