Apparently, he’s put a gag order on anyone in his administration for speaking about the coronavirus for fear it will hurt his re-election campaign. His very own budget cuts the CDC! It’s all about optics and all he cares about is himself. He’d let Americans die to get re-elected. I’d give just about anything to spit in his face

He’s scared shitless that the economy will drop, and, with it, his shot at winning again.
He knows very well that his blame game can and will be used against him.
The executive branch usually informs the legislative branch about what is needed in funding after an assessment of the issues. The legislative branch in this case informed the executive branch that they clearly were being dipshit stupid in their request because it was obvious they had assessed nothing.
