Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) signed legislation on Monday that would create an “Office of Election Crimes and Security,” an election fraud police force for investigating election fraud, despite there being zero evidence of massive election fraud.

The antics of GOP governors like Rick DeSantis and Greg Abbot highlight the weird and dangerous asymmetry that Dems face. Liberals and Progressives see their ‘enemies’ as being social and economic problems and national security threats from bad foreign actors. Republicans view their enemies as being Dems and Progressives! The only valence that any issue has with them is the degree to which it helps them weaken or ‘own’ the libs. I often have the sense that Dem pols still haven’t got this…
One of the few bright political bright spots of the last few years was Mr. Trump losing his Twitter account. If he gets it back chaos will be unleashed.
Not too surprising. H finance types are saying Musk’ll likely be cutting the Twitter workforce by at least half.
