Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) was duped by a satirical news article about country singer Garth Brooks getting booed off stage for being too “woke” at a non-existent festival hosted in a non-existent Texas city.
The party of angry, dimwitted trolls who chomp down on even the most obvious bait. Can you imagine a world where these imbeciles are the only game in town? The world would end in a week, with everyone trying to prove who’s the most ignorant batshit knuckledragger.
But the catch, of course, is that the Texas Country Jamboree isn’t a real event and Hambriston, Texas does not exist.
Clearly in Texas, knowing your state is not a pre-requisite for the governorship.

I was disappointed to not get tickets to a Garth Brooks concert after standing in a parking lot line all night long once. I probably never will get to see him now. There must be a million or so fans like me that Brooks has never seen nor heard cheering for him.
Doesn’t Abbott have some govenor stuff to get power back on for Texans suffering a heat wave, or something?

The attacker who killed five people at an LGBT nightclub in Colorado last November has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to murder and attempted murder.
As part of a plea deal, the attacker was sentenced to five consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole, as well as 46 consecutive 48 year sentences for the attempted murders.

Abbott knows Texas well enough that I very much doubt he was taken in. Some true-believing MAGA staffer? Definitely.
I trust your opinions and your knowledge when it comes to Abbott, and that worries me. From what you say about him, I worry that he could eventually join and then overtake the others in the republican primary race.
It’s just as I’ve always said. Abbott’s problem isn’t that he’s paralyzed from the waist down. It’s that he’s paralyzed from the neck up.
