A Record 4,591 People In US Die From COVID-19 Within 24 Hours

And Covidiot-In-Chief wants to ReOpen America ASAP…
with NO national plan for testing!

What we need is a national targeted testing before we reopen, otherwise it will be a Whack-A-Covid-Outbreak for some time!

ICYMI:

Addendum:

A bold strategy for Covid-19 worth considering:

…the US should consider suspending the first year of medical school for 1 year and giving the incoming 20 000 medical students the opportunity to join a national service program for public health…

…deploy to state and local public health departments to enhance the capacity to support a test, trace, track, and quarantine strategy

That’s a tremendous milestone for the nation with the absolute best healthcare in the world and the most aggressive response to the coronavirus anywhere!

Applause for the top-notch leadership team tackling this situation.

Under Trump, more people dying every day than on 9/11.

That needs to be the headline, and topic of anti-Trump ads.

This is going to become our new normsl.

The average deaths/day from all causes in the US is around 7,700. While car accidents are certainly down and homicides may be as well, there is no reason to think any of the other causes of death are decreased because of Covid-19. So that number represents approximately 60% excess deaths over the normal, not even accounting for Covid deaths not reported as such.

I’ve decided the minions that want to re-open the States (and the WI governor received a fair amount of criticism for the extension of the safer at home order) need to be removed from those of us who want to be safer at home. So I’m starting to offer the following on such threads:

Go move to a State where public health is managed by feeling rather than by Science and data. You can leave your masks, gloves and shields behind, by the way, because you won’t need them there, since this is still nothing but a hoax and the numbers are artificially inflated. And oh, by the way, when you inevitably come down with the symptoms? Stay home - don’t tax or overload the medical system - since your symptoms have occurred due to a hoax, you should just treat yourself at home and keep your hoax symptoms to yourself. Have a nice day.

This is good news. It could have been 10,000. This proves Trump is beating the pandemic.

The site I follow had nowhere near that amount. The total they had for yesterday was close to 2200.

MY advice for those who are bent on opening. Move to South Dakota. https://nypost.com/2020/04/14/coronavirus-cases-skyrocket-in-south-dakota/?fbclid=IwAR3XFnANAKZjUqixAalMnzwaVNg6MPazri_-2SR6X4uWAePvvYtSNeX8xFE

I am getting sick of the assholes spouting “People die from…”
These are unnecessary deaths
Your mother , father, sister, brother , friend
You want to sacrifice them for a few pieces of silver?
Pulled back the curtain on a lot of these “Christians”

We have been running at just about the US killed in action on D-Day (2,499) most days for a week or more. This 24 hour total would be more than the number of total Allied personnel killed in action on D-Day in Normandy (4,414).

Hey, I’m not picky. SD, Alabama, wherever. Let 'em move somewhere where their Freedumb won’t be so negatively impacted. Let 'em go somewhere where they can have their cake and eat it too. Preferably away from me and the people I care about.

I no longer have any pity or compassion for these idiots. None.

My friend’s husband who has survived the virus after two weeks in hospital and another week on O2 at home wrote the following this morning:

It’s a beautiful morning, albeit a little cold (43°F). The sun is shining, the sky is a beautiful blue. It’s good to be alive

Maybe those idiots should go talk to my friend’s husband, who’s come out on the other side of this and didn’t frickin’ die.

Somewhat misleading. NY counted some 3700 additional deaths in one day from a backlog of deaths that death certificates had listed as covid deaths, but had not been tested, that is symptomatic.

Are these confirmed cases of COVID or does it include deaths at home? This number could go up.

These passings should have been gradually added throughout the pandemic period and were not. So the final number is still accurate even though this spike makes it look horrendous.

It’s still horrendous that we’ve lost this many, unnecessarily.
