5 Points On Why Pennsylvania Could Become An Election Flashpoint | Talking Points Memo

In presidential races but we turned Dallas Co. blue in '06 and we’ve been extending that blue island ever since and locking it down too. They want it back bad. They ain’t getting it. We are just destined to keep going blue in the state. We are very close to capturing the majority in the Texas leg.

Many states permit a family member or even a campaign worker to deliver completed sealed ballots for others.

Pennsylvania is almost a must win for Trump. But Biden can get to 270 without it by winning Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona, and either of the Nebraska 2 or Maine 2 EV. It would be exactly 270, but it is a win without having to rely on Pennsylvania, Florida, NC, GA, or Ohio. My hopes are by the time CA closes we are just waiting for Arizona to confirm the win.

Yeah that has made a big difference alright. Immigration from just about anywhere is only good for this state.

I phoned my PA state senator to ask about the trump campaign’s discussions with legislative leaders with respect to awarding electors to trump should the election be contested. Her response was not encouraging. She denied any such discussions took place (I think she lied) and she linked to an article about the 9 mishandled votes. Said she was concerned about it. She’s in the bag for whatever trump et al have planned.

There’s nothing they can legitimately do that won’t get a tsunami of pushback. We have just as many if not more lawyers than he has and I am willing to bet real money ours are better lawyers too.

So Barr’s phony histrionics the other day about the nine Trump ballots in the dumpster was an advance tactic to plant the idea in the public mind that Pennsylvania voting is not to be trusted. Barr knew already that the plan, if and when the Orange Bloat loses the election, is to attack the Pennsylvania results in the courts.

Without actual evidence and in this instance there isn’t any - it was explained - they’ll be laughed out of court.

The election will be decided by votes.

Good for Dallas county, I live in Denton, red as can be. Got my Ballot today, trying to decide if I want to mail it in, turn it in by hand, or just take with me to early vote at the polling station.

This is very much at the local level. She lives right up the road from me.
I phoned to let her know that I’m watching her - and that I will not have my vote ignored for any reason.
I pointed out that this is the first time she’s heard from me. I don’t normally feel the need to contact my local reps. But this is different and I’m pissed and I’m not putting up with any ratfucking around here.
I think she got the message. But I still don’t trust her.

Good for you!

@jtx - yea we can’t decide either. Haven’t gotten our ballots yet either. And what the hell is up with Denton Co? There are two universities there. One would think it would be a liberal place.

I worry about the Poconos section of PA, Tobiana and Stroudsburg have a lot of Trump signs and my cousin loves in Drums which might as well be Kentucky

Sadly PA is not one of those

Agreed. I think this whole PA thing is a fake pass to the tRump team. The possibility of Biden losing PA is pretty low.

What good will fighting that do if tRump has lost Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida, etc.?

Exactly.

And maybe even Texas. They are tied again in the polls in Texas.

There are tons of small ruel communities still in Denton County. Then there is Flower Mound, Highland Village, the money is there. Those folks are really conservative there. Lewisville is lower income lots of apts, large or multiple famlies renting houses, these people do not tend to vote, I dont think, many may not be citizens. Denton as you indicate is a college town. I do not know how they vote. One of my daughters grad. From TWU, according to her those students she knew were conservatives. That has been years now, things maybe changing in Denton.
