Personalize the struggle to protecting everyday Americans and reining in President Musk, his billionaire buddies, and his adolescent minions. Make it clear who the anti-American weirdos really are and who’s standing up for regular folks.

Every Dem will quiver nervously, not sure if they want to absorb the blame for the government shutdown if they vote ‘no’.

I’ve come to see our failure to do this as the other side of the projection coin from Republican’ts’ projecting their crimes onto their victims. We project our kindness and sense of fair play onto our political opponents and are continually surprised and disappointed when they don’t live up to it.

Who said they’d actually hold office hours while home? They’ll be holed up with family, hopefully lamenting their lot in political life but resigned to their Trumpian fates.
