Here in CA in know 2 people who have gotten their vaccine - both retired.
Surely the forces of law and order slow-walked any info on this to give the insurrectionists a chance to succeed.

The FBI was not supposed to be prepared for the insurrection. That’s not their job. The most obvious problems seem to be that the Capitol Police are run by some idiotic board (soon to be ex-board, Trump deliberately not deploying the National Guard, and the downplaying of FBI intel by the Trump Admin. Wray in no way should resign. And I like Pelosi but her pressuring Steven Sund to resign was wrong, that guy was not at fault either, he’s a very good man. Ryan, Lofgren and Waters were also “knee jerk idiots” in condemning him. Showboating clowns. Do the investigation, then you fire people who should be fired. The main guy who should be fired of course was “removed” on Jan 21. But I see no problem with Wray. it was not the FBI that downplayed the threat of these nut jobs, it was the White House. The FBI has been taking the white supremacist threat very seriously. You just were not allowed to know about it thanks to Trump. Same with Covid, Fauci was not allowed to speak. And if Wray spoke out, Trump would have fired him and put in one of his puppets.
Yeah, I had the same initial reaction – “Fuck 'em, let the vaccine go elsewhere” before the brain kicked in and stomped on the emotions. Human nature and all that.
