This is the textbook characteristic of a cult. Bernie can do no wrong - it’s everyone else who’s wrong. He has a very fervent group of followers who think everyone else should be as entranced with him as they are. It works great for Putin.

I personally know, or used to, I guess, one Republican who participated in Rush’s Operation Chaos or whatever it was called and switched affiliation temporarily to vote for Obama in the PA primary. It didn’t actually work out all that well but it was certainly meant to push the Democratic Party over some perceived edge of non-viable radicalism. And we know it’s the thought that counts. : )

Yes, but his supporters tried to shout her down during her own once-in-a-lifetime, history-making acceptance speech at the convention. It was a brutal moment that still smarts for me (and I assume other women). The whole world saw those bernie bros gleefully deny the first-ever woman nominee even 30 minutes of quiet respect to give her speech. So you’re goddamn right she’s pissed.
